Hybrid mast

InnoVent has taken up a new challenge: further reduce its carbon footprint. Thus, InnoVent has developed a new concept of hybrid wood/steel mast. Hybrid masts represent a series of non-negligible advantages:

• The wooden masts come from France and are produced in France
• Support of the French timber sector and its President, Mr Franck Mathis
• Concrete foundations are much less imposing
• The use of 205 m3 of French wood avoids the import of 97 tons of steel per wind turbine
• The recycling of these machines is also much less consequent
• The CO2 emissions for a hybrid wood/steel tower are reduced to 358.5 tons including the CO2 stored in the wood
