CSR policy
The world is changing faster and more profoundly than ever before. We are sure that it is possible to slow global warming while improving people’s quality of life and environment.
As a producer of renewable energy, sustainable development is in our DNA. But we are convinced that we can do even more and go even further. That’s why we’ve chosen to work with innovative partners and invest in technologies that will enable us to further reduce the ecological impact of our power plants. It’s also why we have chosen to invest massively in Africa, contributing our expertise to help increase the supply of electricity, which is in short supply in most African countries. This is also where the impact is greatest, because there is an urgent need for competitive and clean energy.
Our actions and commitments
Social :
At InnoVent, the health of our employees is a priority, this is the reason why our health insurance is covered at 100% because nobody must curbed in from accessing healthcare. Employees also have a two-hour lunch break so they can take part in sporting activities. Other initiatives include remote working and flexible working hours. That means our employees don’t have to worry about being late, they arrive at a time that suits them. In this way, dangerous driving and stress are avoided.
Environment :
As part of a process to reduce waste, InnoVent associate with La Consignerie to deliver bulk coffee and tea. Most employees also have an electric company car which helps to limit the pollution emitted by employees’ personal vehicles on the way to work. Recharging points are available in the head office car park so that everyone can charge their car. These points are powered by solar panels placed on carports. In this way, vehicles are protected from bad weather and can be recharged using green energy.
Economy :
We are proud to employ talent in every country where we operate. In African countries where talent sometimes has difficulty finding employment, our need for skilled employees on the ground allows them to gain job stability, improving their quality of life. Of course, as a renewable energy player, producing the cleanest possible energy is ingrained in our principles.

Charities and donations
InnoVent makes regular donations to various charities.
Muzukidz :
Among the charities we donate to, one is particularly dear to our hearts: Muzudikz. Maria Botha founded this association with the aim of giving violin lessons to children from disadvantaged families in South Africa. InnoVent was the main sponsor when the foundation was create, and we are proud to enable dozens of children to learn the violin every year.
Solidarity and inclusion :
InnoVent donated solar panels to the Penduka association. These enable them to make gifts that they can sell on the markets to finance their mission. Penduka is a women’s association that fights to re-humanise disabled people at work.
Help for orphanages:
InnoVent has donated solar panels to a number of orphanages, including Hope Village in Namibia and Baby Heaven. These orphanages can now benefit from stable and green electricity to look after the children who live there.
Access to education:
The company has also donated solar roofs for schools and universities to provide stable electricity and the best possible educational conditions. These include the University of Tucsin in Namibia and the Kayec learning center.
Nature is our best ally:
InnoVent is also committed to preserving nature. In addition to our role as a green energy supplier, we wanted to go even further by donating to nature reserves and nature protection centres. For example, we give solar panels as well as water pumps to bring light and electricity to the NaDEET center, an organisation that protects Namibia’s national parks and an education centre that offers practical learning. The same donation was also made to the NamibRand Nature Reserve, Namibia’s largest nature reserve, which aims to protect its flora and fauna.
