About us

InnoVent was founded by Grégoire Verhaeghe in 2001 with the aim of creating, installing and operating wind farms in France. For nearly twenty-five years, InnoVent has been able to meet all the challenges of developing, building and operating wind and solar farms, thanks to its in-house resources and specialist partners. This knowledge makes InnoVent an experienced and recognised company in its field.

With a long-term vision, InnoVent has chosen to export its know-how in wind and solar power to some fifteen countries on the African continent, as well as to China and Sweden. InnoVent is also investing in research and development for new processes in wind power, methanisation, energy storage and off-grid systems.

Today, InnoVent is continuing to grow its business independently in Europe, China and Africa.

2000

First wind turbine

In his quest for a cleaner industry, Grégoire Verhaeghe is installing a 750 kW wind turbine at the Verhaeghe Industrie dyehouse to power the entire factory



2001

Creation of InnoVent

Based on the technical knowledge he had acquired, he set up InnoVent in 2001 with the aim of creating, installing and operating wind farms



2008

An international company

InnoVent becomes an international company with its first projects in Africa



2011

FE St Reunan

Creation of the FE St Reunan maintenance company: its employees travel the length and breadth of France to ensure total machine availability.



2015

Nénufar

Acquisition of a 40% stake in start-up Nénufar, which specialises in autonomous methanisation on livestock farms.



2018

Rossini Energy

Creation of Rossini Energy, a start-up specialising in wooden recharging points for electric vehicles, in which Rossini holds a 50% stake



2021

Wood-steel hybrid wind turbine

Installation of the world’s first hybrid wood and steel wind turbine



2022

Tripod wind turbine: the highest in Africa

Installation of Africa’s tallest wind turbine in Morocco in partnership with the company Nabrawind

As a producer of renewable energy, sustainable development is in our DNA. But we are convinced that we can do even more and go even further. That’s why we’ve chosen to join forces with innovative partners and invest in technologies that will enable us to reduce the ecological impact of our power plants even further. It’s also why we have chosen to invest massively in Africa, contributing our expertise to help increase the supply of electricity, which is in short supply in most African countries. This is also where the impact is greatest, because there is an urgent need for competitive, clean energy.
