A wind farm or solar farm requires a high level of investment of around 1 to 1.2 million euros per megawatt installed, depending on the configuration of the site.
From the outset of a project, it is therefore important to ensure that the developer has the capacity to complete the project, with the help of financial partners and sound techniques, and bring the investment to a successful conclusion.
We work with a number of different partners depending on the type of project and the country concerned.
We have sold several wind farms to the Canadian international group BORALEX and the TUPUNGATO investment fund. We have maintained close relations with our partners for many years, as can be seen from our relationship with Boralex: we sold our first energy farm to them in 2003 and our latest transaction took place in 2012.
We also work with the Belgian wind farm developer VENTIS and with DUFOUR Crane Operators. Both also own shares in some of our energy farms.
CGN EE, a world-renowned Chinese multinational, GOLDWIND, a manufacturer of Chinese wind turbines, and InnoVent are drawing up a partnership to set up a new company for the development, construction and financing of renewable energy projects in Europe.
Following our rapid development in South Africa, we have sold 80% of our company InnoWind Ltd SA, which has 600 MW of wind power projects, to EDF Energies Nouvelles. 105 MW were built in 2014.
EDF EN is taking a close interest in the projects developed by InnoVent in Africa. We keep them informed of InnoVent’s progress in the various countries we have prospected.
InnoVent has joined forces with Rishi Limited, part of the SPENCON Group, a leading player in the building and public works sector in Kenya and East Africa, to develop solar and wind farm projects in Kenya and bordering countries.
InnoVent has opened an office in Nairobi to emphasize its presence in East Africa.
InnoVent has set up a partnership with SOLAR CITY, which develops all types of solar installations. InnoVent also has a design office in Dakar for carrying out various projects in West Africa.
