Financial partners

FRANCE AND AFRICA

InnoVent and its subsidiaries InnoSun and InnoWind have built up close relationships with local authorities, banks, local companies and governments in different countries.

Financial choices

InnoVent also receives support from French, European, world and African banks to finance its many projects: TRIODOS, CREDIT AGRICOLE, DBN, IFC, CREDIT COOPERATIF, BPI FRANCE, etc.

The initial development costs for a site are high: wind studies, impact and ICPE studies and mobilizing a team for many months and even years. It’s therefore very important to know that the developer’s business is sustainable.

InnoVent was supported from 2001 by sound initial investors and reinforced its financial base through the partial resale to investors of the first sites built, such as Chépy (4 MW), Nibas (12 MW), Saucourt (12 MW) and Valhuon (2MW).

By 2005, InnoVent therefore had the financial capacity to enable it to finance the cost of developing a large number of energy farms.

In 2006, Grégoire Verhaeghe decided to sell 40 % of InnoVent to AES, which brought InnoVent’s equity capital up to 25 million euros and accelerated development.

After 6 years of intense development, InnoVent bought the 40% back from AES in 2012.
